Primary objective
Lead the operational delivery of the DriveSafe Urban program by managing provider performance, coordinating customer pathways, and ensuring compliant, efficient and consistent service outcomes aligned to NT licensing and road safety requirements.
Context statement
Frontline Services delivers customer-focussed transactional and educational services relating to driver licensing, vehicle registration and driver education programs throughout the Territory. DriveSafe offers licensing and registration education to residents aged 16
and over, including outreach to remote and Aboriginal communities.
Key duties and responsibilities
1. Provide quality advice and service related to the DriveSafe Urban program by managing contracts, provider payments,
scheduling, service demand, and monitoring provider performance and compliance.
- Maintain accurate program data, systems, reporting and documentation to support delivery, governance, trend analysis and decision-making including providing advice on service pressure, risks and improvement opportunities.
1. Liaise with approved instructors, assessors and driving schools to ensure program requirements, resources and standards are
understood and met, including onboarding and service changes.
1. Contribute to promotional activities and community engagement and maintain program resources for theory and practical
delivery ensuring alignment with current road-safety priorities.
1. Support MVR staff through training, updates and information to ensure correct and consistent customer advice. Collaborate
with others on improvements to systems, content and delivery processes.
1. Assist with audits, compliance checks, provider reviews and contract renewal activities.
Selection criteria
Essential
1. Demonstrated leadership and strategic thinking in a highly regulated service setting, applying a systems-focused approach
to achieve organisational outcomes.
- High-level communication, negotiation, stakeholder engagement, and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to tailor information to diverse audiences and maintain a strong customer service focus.
- Experience using data, evaluation methods, and evidence-based decision-making to inform policy, operational, and program outcomes.
- Experience delivering programs and managing procurement, contracts, contractor performance, and associated governance requirements.
- Knowledge and application of driver licensing and road safety policy, legislation, privacy, work health and safety, records management, information technology, and data governance frameworks for transactional systems and digital platforms.
- Understanding of marketing and communications principles for public-facing programs, including digital engagement,
accessibility, and cultural considerations.
Desirable
1. Tertiary qualifications in training and assessment and/or contract management (or similar).
Further information The successful applicant will be required to hold a current Australian C Class Driver’s Licence. This role requires the ability to undertake occasional regional travel.
