About the Role
Aramex Townsville is seeking a motivated and hands-on Operations Supervisor to lead our Townsville operations team. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision of warehouse and transport activities, ensuring freight is processed safely, efficiently, and in line with service expectations.
This is an excellent chance for an experienced leader who thrives in a fast-paced logistics environment and enjoys driving team performance, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead, coach and support a team of operational employees and drivers
- Oversee daily freight handling, sorting, dispatch and delivery operations
- Monitor productivity, service performance and operational KPIs
- Ensure compliance with safety,
operational and company procedures
- Coordinate resources to meet daily volume and service requirements
- Investigate and resolve operational issues in a timely manner
- Build a positive, accountable and high-performing team culture
- Work closely with internal stakeholders, franchise partners and customers to deliver exceptional service
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives
To be successful in this role:
- Previous experience in a supervisory role within transport, warehousing, logistics or supply chain operations
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Ability to coordinate multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Sound problem-solving and decision-making capability
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong focus on safety, quality and customer service
- Intermediate computer skills and experience using operational systems
