Blue Star Eyecare is a family owned and operated practice in the heart of Albury/Wodonga. Serving the community for over 9 years, we pride ourselves in customer rapport and believe in first impressions. We are seeking a self-motivated individual, looking for employment within the field of optics and keen to take on a challenging but rewarding role to help us expand our team as we open our new location in Lavington.

Qualifications & experience

- On the job training
- Opportunity provided to complete Cert IV in Optical Dispensing
- Must have own transport

Tasks & responsibilities

- Assisting members with lens selection based on prescription
- Providing exceptional customer service, both face-to-face and over the phone
- Ensuring adequate measures are taken to control inventory
- Invoicing, filing and entry of scripts into systems
- Practice basic selling principles, day-to-day sales
- Willing to gain understanding of eyewear tools
- Willing to learn and understand the theory of optics
- Demonstrate understanding of lens and frame materials
- Identify, measure and mark-up single vision, multifocal and progressive lenses
- Merchandising
- Adjusting of frames
- Maintain a clean, secure and professional workplace
