Western Hospital is looking for a dynamic and motivated Clinical Nurse (CN Level 2) to join our growing Orthopaedic Perioperative Team.

We’re looking for an inspiring clinical leader to join our team, with flexible opportunities available from 0.6 FTE through to full-time.

About the Role

As an Orthopaedic Clinical Nurse, you will provide visible clinical leadership across the perioperative environment, supporting our team to deliver secure, exceptional and patient-centred care.

You will be a key clinical resource for the team, with opportunities to:

- Provide clinical leadership and support to perioperative nursing staff
- Mentor, coach and develop nurses at all levels of experience
- Promote evidence-based practice and high standards of clinical care
- Support the delivery of safe, efficient and high-quality orthopaedic procedures
- Contribute to clinical governance, quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
- Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes and patient outcomes
- Work collaboratively with surgeons, anaesthetists and the wider multidisciplinary team
- Help build a positive culture where teamwork, accountability and continuous learning are valued

Essential Criteria:

- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse.
- Minimum of 3 years post-graduate experience in orthopaedic nursing.
- Sound understanding of ACORN standards and NSQHS Standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate in a diverse team
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
- Current National Police Clearance and Working with Children Check
