Flexible Part-Time Role (2-3 Days per Week)

$85,000 - $105,000 + Super (Pro Rata), depending on experience

About the Role

We are a growing insurance group supporting a network of underwriting agencies through our AFSL and partnership platform.

We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to support our day-to-day finance operations. This role is ideal for a finance professional with strong Xero, bookkeeping, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable and reconciliation experience who is looking for flexibility and genuine ownership of finance processes.

This is a hands-on role with a strong bookkeeping focus, with potential to expand into trust account management as the business grows. You'll work closely with our underwriting team, brokers, insurers, external accountants and senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities

- Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Payroll processing and payroll administration
- Bank, trust account and general ledger reconciliations
- Cash flow management and forecasting
- Management reporting and financial reporting
- BAS, GST, payroll tax and superannuation coordination
- Insurance premium,



commission and insurer settlement processing
- Corporate card administration and expense management
- Month-end reporting support
- Finance process improvement and systems administration
- Trust account administration and compliance

About You

- Proven experience as a Finance Coordinator, Bookkeeper, Finance Officer, Accounts Officer or Assistant Accountant
- Strong Xero experience (essential)
- Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, reconciliations and financial reporting
- Understanding of BAS, GST, payroll tax and statutory compliance requirements
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills and attention to detail
- Organised, proactive and comfortable working independently
- Able to thrive in a hybrid or remote work setting
- Insurance, underwriting, broking or financial services experience highly regarded
