Marigold is looking for an experienced Senior Hairdresser to join our small team for 2–4 days per week.

We’re a boutique salon in Bulimba with a loyal clientele, a relaxed atmosphere and a strong focus on beautiful, considered colour work and an exceptional client experience.

Our working week is designed a little differently.

We work longer days — some up to approximately 10 hours — so you can work fewer days and have more full days away from the salon.

Come in, have a great productive day behind the chair, then actually enjoy your days off.

A WORKING WEEK DESIGNED AROUND HAVING A LIFE

We know hairdressing can traditionally mean late nights, Saturdays, December overtime and being in the salon five days a week.

We’re trying to do things differently.

✨ Work just 2–4 days per week

✨ Longer, productive days rather than spreading your hours across the week

✨ No Saturdays

✨ No compulsory extra hours during December — unless you’d genuinely like them

✨ Two weeks off over Christmas/New Year

✨ Dedicated salon assistant supporting the floor

We want you to be able to earn a great income from hairdressing while still having plenty of time for family, travel, hobbies — or simply not being at work five days a week.

THE ROLE

You’ll be joining our salon owner/senior stylist, another experienced senior stylist and our dedicated salon assistant.

Our appointments aren’t about squeezing as many people as possible into a day.

We allow time for thorough consultations, considered colour work and creating an experience that keeps our clients coming back.
