Payment Expansion & Regulatory Compliance Lead

We are seeking a commercially-savvy and compliance-focused professional to lead our expansion into the EEA (via Netherlands), UK, Canada, and Australia. This dual-hatted role is critical for identifying and onboarding local Payment Service Providers (PSPs), managing the company's regulatory and licensing applications, and ensuring seamless technical integration. This position will report directly to headquarters and will be based in Netherland.

Key Responsibilities:1. Partner Identification & Commercial Management:

l Identify, evaluate, and negotiate partnership agreements with local PSPs in Europe, Australia, and Canada .

l Perform due diligence on potential partners, focusing on their product capabilities, coverage, pricing, and compliance standing.

l Manage the end-to-end partner life cycle, from contracting to ongoing relationship management.

- Compliance & Licensing:l Lead the company's registration and license application processes with regulatory bodies. This may include the Central Bank of Ireland, FCA (UK), AUSTRAC (Australia), and FINTRAC (Canada) .

l Develop and implement internal compliance policies (AML, KYC, data privacy) to meet local regulatory requirements .





l Act as the primary point of contact with local regulators and legal counsel on all licensing matters.

- Operational Setup:l Assist in opening and managing local operational bank accounts.

l Assist in product testing after technical integration l Maintain active communication with the PSPs
- Reporting & Communication:l Provide regular progress reports to headquarters on partnership development, licensing timelines, and market updates.

l Maintain transparent and organized documentation of all regulatory filings, contracts, and integration processes.

Qualifications & Requirements:Experience: Proven experience in the payments industry, specifically in partnership management, business development, or compliance within a PSP, fintech, or financial institution.

Knowledge: Deep understanding of payments regulations (PSD2/PSR, AML/CFT, data protection) in Europe, the UK, Australia, and Canada .

Skills: Strong project management, negotiation, and communication skills. Ability to manage complex, multi-jurisdictional projects.

Analytical: Data-driven with the ability to analyze partner performance and identify risks.

Language: Fluency in English is required. Mandarin Chinese is a significant plus.
