We are seeking an experienced and detail-focused Payroll Officer to join our administration team at Bunbury Farmers Market.

Bunbury Farmers Market is a leading regional independent retailer of fresh produce, Market Made meals and we provide high-quality specialist departments including our Gourmet Butcher/Deli, Dairy, Groceries, Sweet and Savory Pastries and Café. Role Summary

Reporting to our Office Co-ordinator and working closely with the Finance Manager and CEO, you will manage the end-to-end weekly payroll for our high-volume payroll environment. Your key responsibilities will include:

- Processing weekly payroll accurately and on time.
- Maintaining payroll, timekeeping, and leave records with accuracy and confidentiality.
- Managing the employee time clock system and resolving discrepancies.
- Processing new employee contracts, onboarding, and terminations.
- Initiating staff inductions (Connecteam) and managing onboarding/offboarding (Tanda).
- Communicating with Department Managers on payroll and staffing matters.
- Acting as the first point of contact for employee payroll queries.
- Supporting other administrative duties and cross-training within the administration team as required.

What You Will Bring

- Full working rights in Australia.




- Proven experience processing end-to-end payroll in a retail, hospitality, or high-volume environment.
- Experience with payroll and workforce-management systems.
- Ability to interpret and apply the General Retail Award.
- Strong attention to detail and confidentiality.
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- A reliable, accountable, and team-oriented approach.
- Willingness to work flexibly during peak trading periods, including Christmas and Easter, where required.
- An understanding of visa eligibility and working rights will be highly advantageous.

Relevant qualifications in payroll, accounting, HR, or business administration will be highly regarded. Why Join Us?
