What you will do:

The Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the Anglicare Foster Care Kinship Care Program following the program's relevant legislation, regulations, standards and contract requirements. The coordinator leads a team of case managers to provide trauma-informed, therapeutic case management and permanency services for children, young people and their families who have experienced significant adversity.

Key Responsibilities:





- Supporting your team of case managers with case planning to create and implement goals that are child-focused and achievable that will ensure the best outcomes for the children and young people you work with.
- Maintain respectful relationships with stakeholders, government departments and the community to provide an integrated approach to service delivery.
- Develop Aboriginal networks, consult and liaise with Aboriginal community leaders, groups and Aboriginal service providers to ensure cultural and family needs are recognised for our Indigenous young people and their families.
- Work following Anglicare’s overarching operational priorities and relevant policies and procedures; Monitor monthly financial income and expenditure; and record keeping that meet all legislative requirements and regulations.
- Acknowledge families as a valuable resource and develop and maintain positive relationships with them based on mutual respect and open communication.
- Follow case management principles and procedures to work therapeutically and collaboratively with children, young people, their families, and their Care Team to continually assess, develop, implement, monitor, and review the planning for the child or young person to reach their potential.
- Work closely with the child or young person to act as an advocate and ensure their voice is captured in all case planning considerations.
- Share child development knowledge with families.

What you bring:

- Hold a Bachelors Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Social Science, Community Welfare, or related discipline.




- Experienced in team leadership skills, 2-3 years preferred with Children and Young People in Out of Home Care, Foster Care and Kinship Care or Child Protection setting.
- Knowledge of inter-generational trauma and its impact on Aboriginal people, families and communities.
- Ability to develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders involved in the delivery of statutory PSP services.
- High-level communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.

Other Essentials:

- Current Australian driver's licence, first aid certification and WWCC.
- Current registration with qualified body relevant to your qualification.
- Participate in rostered After Hours on-call duties.
