About the role

We are seeking a Permanent Sales Person to join our team in Brisbane, QLD. This is a full-time position based in our Brisbane QLD 4000 location. As a Sales Person, you will be at the forefront of our customer experience, playing a crucial role in driving sales and building lasting relationships with customers.

You will be responsible for showcasing our mattress range, understanding customer needs, and guiding them towards the best product solutions. This role is essential to our business success and directly impacts our revenue growth and customer satisfaction metrics.

What you'll be doing

- Greeting customers warmly and professionally, creating a welcoming atmosphere that encourages product exploration
- Conducting needs assessments to understand customer sleep preferences, budget requirements, and any specific health considerations
- Demonstrating mattress features, materials, and perks to educate customers and highlight product value
- Providing expert recommendations based on customer needs and preferences
- Responding to customer enquiries regarding product specifications, pricing, and promotions
- Processing sales transactions accurately and efficiently using point-of-sale systems
- Managing customer information and maintaining detailed sales records
- Collaborating with team members to meet sales targets and store objectives
- Ensuring the showroom is well-organised, clean, and products are displayed attractively




- Building customer loyalty through follow-up communication and exceptional after-sales service
- Staying updated on product knowledge, industry trends, and company promotions

What we're looking for

- Proven experience in retail sales or a customer-facing sales role, preferably within the furniture or home goods industry
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with diverse customer demographics
- Strong sales ability with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Product knowledge or demonstrated ability to quickly learn and retain detailed product information
- Professional presentation and grooming standards
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced retail environment
- Problem-solving skills and patience when handling customer concerns or objections
- Proficiency with point-of-sale systems and basic computer skills
- Reliability and punctuality with flexibility to work retail hours, including weekends
- A genuine passion for customer service and delivering exceptional experiences
- Preferred: Experience in mattress or bedding sales, or knowledge of sleep science and ergonomics
