Assistant Centre Manager (2IC) | Early Childhood Education Northern Suburbs | Up to $90K + Bonus Opportunity

anzuk Education is partnering with a well-established early learning service in Melbourne's northern suburbs to recruit an experienced and motivated Assistant Centre Manager (2IC).

This is an excellent opportunity to join a stable, community-focused centre with a strong culture, established systems and a supportive leadership team. The service is looking for a collaborative leader who enjoys mentoring educators, supporting daily operations and contributing to continuous improvement.

The Opportunity Working closely with the Centre Manager, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day leadership of the service. You'll have the opportunity to influence practice, support educator development and help drive quality outcomes, while being backed by an experienced leadership structure that includes dedicated pedagogical and operational support.

This role offers a excellent balance of leadership, administration and team engagement, with significantly less operational pressure than many standalone management positions.

Key Responsibilities

- Support the Centre Manager with the day-to-day running of the service
- Assist with compliance, administration and operational requirements
- Mentor,



coach and develop educators to achieve high-quality outcomes
- Foster a positive, collaborative and professional team culture
- Support occupancy and family engagement initiatives
- Maintain strong knowledge of the NQF, NQS and regulatory requirements
- Act as Nominated Supervisor when required
- Remain visible and engaged with educators, children and families across the service

While the position is primarily focused on leadership and operations, there may be occasions where you will provide hands‑on support within the rooms to assist the team.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

- Previous leadership experience in an Early Childhood setting
- Diploma or Bachelor qualification in Early Childhood Education (or ACECQA approved equivalent)
- Strong understanding of compliance, regulations and quality practice
- Experience mentoring and supporting educators
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- A collaborative and solutions-focused leadership style
- The ability to build trust and credibility with an established team
- Confidence to work autonomously and support centre operations when required

We're looking for someone who can step into the role with confidence, support existing practices and contribute ideas for continuous improvement while respecting the positive culture already in place.
