Pet Crematorium Office Consultant

Pets Eternal | Greenbank, QLD

About the Role

At Pets Eternal, we understand that saying goodbye to a beloved pet is one of the most difficult experiences a family can face. As a Pet Crematorium Office Consultant, you will play an important role in supporting pet owners through this process. You will often be the first point of contact for our clients, so we are looking for someone who is naturally compassionate, patient and understanding. Alongside providing exceptional customer service, you will assist with the day-to-day administrative and operational requirements of our office and crematorium.

This is a role where empathy matters just as much as administration. The successful applicant will understand that we aren't simply providing a service — we are helping families farewell a much-loved member of their family.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide exceptional, compassionate customer service to grieving pet owners.
- Support and guide clients through the pet cremation process, answering questions and providing reassurance where appropriate.
- Manage administrative tasks associated with cremation services, including bookings, payments, data entry and maintaining accurate records.
- Assist with coordinating pet collections and drop-offs, ensuring every interaction is handled respectfully and professionally.
- Answer telephone and email enquiries and provide accurate information regarding our services, pricing and policies.
- Maintain accurate client and service records.
- Assist with the day-to-day organisation and cleanliness of the office and crematorium facilities.
- Work closely with the wider Pets Eternal team to ensure the smooth, efficient and compassionate operation of the business.
- Follow company policies, procedures and handling protocols to ensure every pet is treated with dignity and respect.

About You

We are looking for someone who genuinely cares about people and animals and understands the importance of compassion when dealing with families experiencing pet loss.

You will ideally have

- Previous experience in customer service, administration, veterinary services or the funeral industry (helpful but not essential).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- The ability to communicate with empathy, patience and professionalism, particularly during emotional or difficult conversations.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- The ability to multitask, prioritise and remain calm in a busy environment.
- A compassionate and caring nature, with a genuine love of animals.
- Good attention to detail and accurate data-entry skills.
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- A willingness to learn and follow established policies and procedures.
- Australian permanent residency status, as required for this position.

What We Offer

- Flexible work arrangements where operationally possible.
- Ongoing training and career development.
- An Employee Assistance Program to support your wellbeing.
- Discounts on selected pet supplies and services.
- A supportive team environment.
- The opportunity to make a genuine difference to families during one of the most difficult times in their lives.
