About the role

We are seeking an experienced Photographer specialising in Child Care and Preschool settings to join krphotography on a contract basis. This is an exciting opportunity to capture precious moments of young children in educational and care environments across Sydney. You will be responsible for producing high-quality photographs that showcase the activities, development, and joy of children in preschool and childcare settings.

This role is based in Sydney NSW 2000 and may involve travel to various childcare facilities and preschools throughout the region.

Key responsibilities

- Conduct professional photography sessions at childcare centres and preschools, capturing candid and posed images of children engaged in learning and play activities
- Deliver final photographs in agreed formats and timeframes to clients
- Ensure compliance with all child safeguarding policies and obtain necessary permissions and documentation before photographing children
- Liaise a team of photographers, educators, and preschool management to understand their requirements and expectations
- Maintain detailed records of photography sessions, including dates, locations, and subjects photographed

What we're looking for

- Proven professional experience as a photographer with a portfolio demonstrating experience photographing children and educational settings. Show us your children portfolio.
- In-depth knowledge of child photography techniques, including working with natural lighting and capturing authentic moments in dynamic environments
- Proficiency in professional photo editing software such as Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with children, parents, and educators




- Understanding of child safety protocols and commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to safeguarding requirements
- Reliability and punctuality with excellent organisational skills to manage multiple bookings and deadlines
- A valid Australian driving licence and access to reliable transportation to travel between childcare facilities
- Flexibility to work across varying schedules that may include weekday and weekend sessions
- Current working with children check (or willingness to obtain one) is highly desirable
