Are you an experienced physiotherapist who wants to do great clinical work in a practice that does things a little differently?

Laneways Physiotherapy and Lymphoedema is a boutique physiotherapy practice in Melbourne's inner north with a big purpose: to improve the way people living in larger bodies experience healthcare. We provide evidence-based, weight-neutral and genuinely size inclusive care, supporting people with everything from musculoskeletal pain and hypermobility through to rehabilitation, chronic health conditions, lymphoedema, lipoedema and cancer recovery.

We're growing, and we're looking for an experienced musculoskeletal/private practice physiotherapist to join us for at least 2 days per week, with the opportunity to grow into a larger or full-time role.

This role would suit a physiotherapist who is clinically confident, curious, hands-on and genuinely enjoys helping people build strength, capacity and confidence.

What you'll be doing

Your caseload will be varied, interesting and shaped around your experience and clinical interests.

You might see

- Musculoskeletal presentations and persistent pain
- Hypermobility and complex musculoskeletal presentations
- Rehabilitation following surgery, illness or injury
- Exercise prescription and progressive strength and conditioning
- Exercise alongside medical weight management treatments
- Deconditioning, fatigue and reduced exercise tolerance
- Chronic health conditions and disability
- Exercise habit formation and building confidence with movement
- Clinical exercise and small-group programs
- Lymphoedema, lipoedema and vascular/mixed oedema
- Cancer rehabilitation, including post-surgical rehabilitation and recovery

Alongside your clinical work, you'll do the things you'd expect from an excellent private practice physiotherapist: thorough assessment, clinical reasoning, treatment planning, documentation, communication with other health professionals and helping clients work towards meaningful functional goals. There are opportunities to work across clinic, home visits and telehealth, depending on your interests and the needs of the caseload.

What we're looking for

We're looking for someone with:





- At least 5 years' physiotherapy experience
- Solid private practice and musculoskeletal experience
- Excellent clinical reasoning and assessment skills
- Exceptional hands-on treatment skills
- Confidence prescribing and progressing exercise
- A rehabilitation and coaching mindset
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- The ability to work autonomously while also contributing to a collaborative team
- A genuine interest in providing respectful, size inclusive healthcare

You don't need to be a lymphoedema therapist. Our priority is finding an excellent MSK/private practice physiotherapist.

However, if you already have skills in lymphoedema, lipoedema, cancer rehabilitation, oncology rehabilitation or compression therapy, we'd be very interested in talking to you.

About you

You might be an experienced MSK physiotherapist looking for a practice with a different philosophy. You might already have a passion for lymphoedema or cancer rehabilitation and want to combine this with a broader private practice caseload.

Or you might be an excellent generalist who is curious about developing new skills.
