KRSP is seeking an experienced Plant and Loader Operator to join our team on a casual basis until November 2026.
This is a hands-on role supporting municipal services and road maintenance works throughout the Kimberley region's Dampier Peninsula. The successful applicant will operate plant undertaking maintenance of landfills, firebreaks and other municipal services infrastructure. The work will also include maintaining sealed roads using cold mix asphalt in several Kimberley communities.
This position would suit someone who is practical, safety-focused and comfortable working independently and as part of a small team in remote locations.
Location and roster
- Casual position available until November 2026
- 14 days on, 7 days off roster
- The roster may vary depending on operational requirements
- Local Kimberley residents are encouraged to apply
- FIFO applications may also be considered
What you will need
We are looking for someone with a strong work ethic, integrity, safe work practices and a positive approach.
Essential requirements
- Demonstrated experience operating a loader
- Current loader ticket
- Current HC class driver’s licence
- Experience driving on remote and unsealed roads
- Ability to work effectively as part of a small team in remote areas
- Ability to work independently, remain self-motivated and use initiative
- Ability to mentor others and take the lead when required
- Unrestricted working rights in Australia
Desirable
- Experience working in remote communities
- Current first aid certification
