Looking for a hands-on trade role where you'll work across a large industrial site and tackle a broad range of plumbing work?
As a Plumber at Wilmar Sugar &
- Renewables, you'll work across the factories maintaining, repairing and installing the plumbing systems and infrastructure that support our factory operations. From underground stormwater, sanitary and water piping systems through to pumps, valves and fittings, you'll use your trade skills to help keep the site safe, reliable and operational.
You'll work alongside other trades and operational teams in a heavy industrial environment, responding to maintenance requirements, identifying problems and getting in to make practical repairs when they're needed.
This is a full-time permanent position, initially based at Victoria Mill in North Queensland's Herbert Region.
Your Role in Action
- Maintain &
- Repair: Install, maintain and repair plumbing systems and components across the site, including underground stormwater, sanitary and water piping systems, pumps, valves and fittings.
- Fabricate &
- Install: Fabricate plumbing components as required and assemble and install pipework, valves, fittings and associated equipment.
- Keep the Mill Running: Respond to maintenance requirements, inspect equipment and infrastructure, identify faults and carry out practical repairs to support safe and reliable factory operations.
- Work Across the Site: Work alongside other trades, operational teams and the Work Coordinator to plan and complete maintenance activities across the mill.
- Share Your Trade Knowledge: Provide practical guidance and on-the-job support to apprentices and trainees, helping them build their skills and trade capability.
- Get the Details Right: Complete work orders, permits,
timesheets and required reports accurately, ensuring work is properly recorded and completed to site standards.
- Work Safely: Follow site procedures and environmental requirements, identify hazards and contribute to a strong safety culture across the team.
Your Winning Combination We're looking for a qualified Plumber who takes pride in their trade, works safely and is comfortable getting hands-on in a busy industrial environment. You'll be practical, reliable and able to work effectively with other trades and operational teams. You'll bring good problem-solving skills, be able to identify and respond to maintenance issues, and be comfortable working across different areas of the site as priorities change.
To be considered, you'll need:
- Certificate III in Plumbing (Essential)
Ideally, you'll also bring some of the following:
- Confined Space competency
- Working at Heights competency
- Manual driver's licence
- Other relevant licences, tickets or trade competencies
Experience in industrial maintenance, manufacturing, heavy industry or a similar operational environment will also be highly regarded. Don't have all the tickets yet? We still want to hear from you.
