Senior Associate/Special Counsel - Commercial Litigation & Insolvency

This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Associate/Special Counsel to play a key role in our commercial litigation and insolvency practice. You will work on complex, high-value matters alongside a team of high-achieving lawyers in a supportive and stimulating environment. The position offers the opportunity to take ownership of files, supervise junior staff where required, and contribute to the continued growth of the practice. You will enjoy a wide-ranging and challenging workload with direct client contact and meaningful involvement in strategic decision-making.

Key responsibilities

- Drafting high-level correspondence, court documents, and advices
- Managing large volumes of documents and discovery processes
- Preparing briefs to counsel and coordinating with experts
- Managing and progressing litigation and insolvency files from inception through to resolution
- Attending and appearing at court hearings, directions, and trials (as appropriate)
- Client liaison, including providing strategic advice and managing client expectations
- Supervising and mentoring junior lawyers and support staff
- Contributing to practice development and business generation initiatives

About you

- At least 5 to 6+ years of PAE in commercial litigation and/or insolvency (experience in both areas highly regarded)




- Strong technical knowledge and a proven track record in managing complex matters
- Excellent drafting, advocacy, and negotiation skills
- Superior communication, time management, and organisational skills
- A proactive, solutions-focused attitude with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a close-knit team
- High attention to detail and a collaborative, positive approach
