- Base salary $71k - $78k (paid on a pro rata basis)
- Permanent, Part-time role (40 hours/per fortnight)

The Role Are you an early riser who loves a good story and wants to make a difference in your community? Then we want to hear from you. Based at Port Lincoln – the nation’s seafood capital – the ABC Eyre Peninsula team works with a range of communities to tell their stories on radio, social media, TV, and online.

This is a unique opportunity to work alongside a talented and experienced Presenter to plan, produce and deliver a program that's entertaining, engaging, and essential listening for the Eyre Peninsula community.

From chasing breaking news to researching stories, producing outside broadcasts, and managing talkback and guests, no two days in this role are the same. You’ll provide in-studio support on a part time basis from Monday to Friday, 6am-10am. Flexibility to work remotely on occasion to support other programs in different locations may be required.

The Job

Heavily guided by the Presenter and the Editor, you will:

- Create content for multiple platforms to engage local, state and national audiences.
- Provide in-studio production support and manage talk-back callers and guests
- Contribute to the implementation of the Local Emergency Coverage plan and communicate with relevant stakeholders as required.
- Help identify and develop local content that can be shared with other content teams in News and across the ABC on multiple platforms.

About You You will be working closely with the experienced and very capable Port Lincoln Presenter in a collaborative way, and your valued contributions will provide you with solid experience in Radio and production. Does this describe you?
