Role Description This is a freelance intern role focused on Product Design Engineering and Social Media Marketing, and it is a remote position. The intern will support product design tasks such as concept development, CAD modeling, basic mechanical design, and preparation of visual assets for presentations.

Day-to-day responsibilities will include assisting with design documentation, gathering reference materials, and organizing design files for ongoing projects. The role will also involve managing social media content, including creating posts, writing captions, scheduling updates, and helping to grow the online presence of Dan Cabral Design.



The intern will collaborate closely with the lead designer, receive feedback on design and content work, and learn how design projects move from concept through development and promotion.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Design Engineering and Product Design, with the ability to support concept generation and refinement.
- Basic knowledge of Mechanical Engineering principles, especially as they relate to product functionality and manufacturability.
- Proficiency or developing skills in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for 3D modeling and technical visualization.
- Understanding of Product Development processes, including iteration, prototyping, and preparing designs for client review.
- Interest or experience in social media marketing, content creation, and visual storytelling for design-focused brands.
- Currently studying or recently completed a degree/diploma in product design, industrial design, mechanical engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Solid communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
- Portfolio or examples of design work that demonstrate creativity, problem-solving, and technical awareness.
