You will work as part of the production team while also assisting with the day-to-day coordination of the factory floor. This is a hands-on position first and foremost, where you will work alongside the team on the factory floor while also helping organise the daily workload and keeping production moving.
Key responsibilities
- Working hands-on within the production area
- Operating and assisting with manufacturing equipment and processes
- Helping allocate daily jobs and priorities to the production team
- Assisting employees where required to keep production moving
- Monitoring workflow and helping ensure daily production targets are achieved
- Checking that completed work meets quality requirements
- Helping maintain a secure, clean and organised workplace
- Assisting with pre-starts and toolbox discussions
- Reporting production or equipment issues to management
- Helping new employees learn the production processes
About you
- Previous manufacturing, production or factory experience
- Experience operating machinery or working within a production environment
- Some experience as a Leading Hand, senior operator or informal team leader would be advantageous
- A practical, hands-on approach
- Good communication skills
- The confidence to provide direction to other employees when required
- The ability to organise your own work and help coordinate others
- A strong focus on safety and quality
- A reliable attitude and good attendance
- The ability to work as part of a team
