The Company

Green Farmers is one of Australia’s largest medicinal cannabis cultivators, located in Victoria’s South East (approximately an hour and a half from Melbourne). We are growing quickly and need to expand our team to meet current customer demand and our business growth strategy. As a B2B supplier of medicinal cannabis to Australian brands and patients, Green Farmers is looking for motivated team members who can thrive in a highly regulated industry.

The Roles

We are seeking a Production Assistant to join our cultivation team, with an immediate start available. This is a hands-on, onsite role focused on production nursery work, with scope to take on general maintenance duties as well. You will work as part of a team and independently to deliver day-to-day tasks to a high standard within a GACP and ODC-regulated environment.

Future leadership roles and opportunities will become available as the business grows.

Responsibilities:

- Propagation, cloning and transplanting
- Crop Maintenance
- Media Preparation
- Harvest Support
- Accurate record keeping, batch tracking in line with ODC compliance requirements
- Basic upkeep and cleaning of glasshouse equipment and irrigation systems
- Assisting with minor repairs and general facility maintenance

Candidates with more extensive experience in the medicinal cannabis industry will be viewed favourably and compensated accordingly. You must have a preparedness to share your knowledge, opinion and experience, whilst accepting the team’s decision and work together to achieve excellence. All candidates must undergo a Police Check prior to commencement, a cost which will be covered by Green Farmers.

Please note this position is located in a glasshouse with temperatures from 20 to 30 plus degrees celcius, Physical effort is required lifting, pushing and pulling up to 25kgs.
