SSH Mining is looking for a capable, organised and proactive Project & Commercial Administrator to join our growing mining business in a permanent part time capacity.
This is a broad, hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys variety and likes being the person who helps keep projects, people and day-to-day operations moving.
Working closely with management and our project teams, you’ll provide support across project administration, recruitment, commercial activities, safety and general business operations.
What You'll Be Involved In:
- Supporting recruitment, onboarding and mobilisation of employees and contractors
- Coordinating pre-employment requirements, inductions, training records and compliance documentation
- General project administration and coordination
- Preparing and maintaining project documentation, registers and records
- Client invoicing and following up supporting documentation
- Assisting with purchase orders, supplier invoices and basic project cost tracking
- Liaising with clients, suppliers, subcontractors and other external stakeholders
- Maintaining positive supplier relationships and following up outstanding actions
- Assisting with procurement and supplier administration
- Supporting safety administration, including registers, records, documentation and reporting
- Preparing simple operational and project reports
- Assisting with timesheets, labour records and project information
- Maintaining organised electronic filing and document control
- Coordinating meetings, actions and project correspondence
- Helping improve administrative workflows, templates and processes
- Providing general business and operational administration as required
About You:
We’re less concerned about a particular job title and more interested in finding someone who is reliable, switched-on and comfortable taking ownership of their work.
Ideally, you'll have:
- Previous administration, project support or coordination experience
- Experience within mining, resources, civil, construction or a similar project environment
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Confidence communicating with clients, suppliers, employees and management
- Good Microsoft Office skills, particularly Outlook, Word and Excel
- The ability to manage several priorities without needing constant direction
- A practical, solutions-focused approach
- Good written communication and record-keeping skills
- An interest in improving the way things are done rather than simply following an existing process
- Experience with recruitment/mobilisation, invoicing, procurement, safety systems, SharePoint, ERP/accounting systems or project reporting would be highly regarded, but we don’t expect one person to have done everything.
About The Role:
This is a permanent part-time position of approximately 22–30 hours per week.
We’re flexible around how those hours are structured and are happy to discuss arrangements that work for the right person.
The role would suit someone looking for genuine part-time stability while still wanting an interesting position with responsibility, variety and exposure across a mining business.
Location: Perth, WA
Employment: Permanent Part Time
Hours: 22-30 hours per week, negotiable
Salary: Approximately $85,000–$95,000 FTE superannuation, pro rata, depending on experience
If you’re an experienced administrator who enjoys variety, takes initiative and likes being involved across different parts of a business, we’d love to hear from you.
