Primary objective The Project Manager Land Tenure will take an operational role in delivering outcomes and outputs required to establish land tenure arrangements in remote communities across the Northern Territory to secure government infrastructure including public housing assets.
Key duties and responsibilities
1.
Support the delivery of projects and initiatives related to land tenure and government infrastructure outcomes in remote communities,
including project planning, implementation, monitoring, reporting, risk management and evaluation.
- Contribute to policy, operational and organisational improvement activities, including research, analysis, process improvement,
change management initiatives, and the development of policies, procedures and guidelines.
- Prepare and coordinate reports, briefing materials, correspondence and other documentation to support senior management,
executive stakeholders and government decision-making processes.
1. Assist the Director in monitoring project and program performance, identify issues and risks, and contribute to the development and
implementation of practical solutions to support successful outcomes.
- Build and maintain productive relationships with stakeholders, including government agencies, Land Councils, Aboriginal organisations, community representatives and service providers, to support effective communication, collaboration and issue resolution.

Essential
1. Demonstrated interpersonal, communication and relationship management skills, with the ability to engage collaboratively with a
diverse range of stakeholders, build effective working relationships and contribute to achieving shared outcomes in diverse community settings.
1. Demonstrated ability to research, analyse and interpret complex information, policies, procedures or legislative frameworks, and apply
sound judgement to support decision-making and achieve outcomes.
1. Demonstrated experience supporting or delivering projects, programs, policy initiatives or operational activities, including planning,
coordination, monitoring progress, managing competing priorities and meeting deadlines in a dynamic environment working effectively both independently and as part of a team.
1. Well-developed skills in the use of business systems and software applications, including Microsoft Office products and records or
information management systems, with the ability to learn recent technologies and systems quickly.
Desirable
1. Relevant tertiary qualifications in project management, business administration, public policy, community development, land
administration, planning or a related discipline.
- Experience preparing briefs, reports, correspondence or advice for senior decision-makers, executives or stakeholders, or the demonstrated ability to quickly acquire knowledge of government briefing and decision-making processes.
- Knowledge of, or an interest in developing an understanding of, land tenure, Aboriginal land administration, remote communities,
infrastructure delivery or related policy areas within the Northern Territory context.
