TSRA is seeking experienced and motivated individual to join our Economic Development Program on Thursday Island.

The Project Officer roles include:

- Working with communities, businesses and government agencies to identify needs, address issues and support participation in the local and broader economy;
- Assisting the Senior Project Officer to develop and deliver practical solutions that help clients succeed in business and economic activities, including partnerships between Indigenous and non-Indigenous businesses.
- Assessing and monitoring home loans, business loans and grants.
- Coordinating and supporting business workshops.
- Supporting the delivery of multiple tasks and projects at the same time.




- Undertaking other duties as required and directed by the Senior Project Officer or Assistant Director.

Employment is subject to the following conditions:

- Citizenship – applicants must be an Australian Citizen.
- Police check – any new APS employee must undergo a National Crime Check.
- Probation – a probation period will apply to any recent APS employee
- Security clearance – successful candidates may be required to obtain and maintain a AGSVA security clearance commensurate with their particular role requirements.
- A ‘working with children’ Blue Card, or the ability to obtain a ‘working with children’ Blue Card.
