Defence Housing Australia (DHA) invites you to register your interest in non-ongoing employment opportunities in the Property Management team that may arise.

Who are we?

DHA is committed to our purpose of providing housing, and housing related services, to Australian Defence Force (ADF) members and their families to support Defence capability. We do this through:

- providing and managing a portfolio of housing
- partnering with Defence to shape and administer housing policy
- providing housing services to ADF members and their families.

What you will do

As a Property Manager within the Service Operations team, you will contribute to the business outcomes of your regional office by:

- Managing a portfolio of service residences with respect to presentation to DHA standards, tenant interactions, maintenance and other property related matters within DHA’s agreed SOPs.
- Conducting property inspections, identifying tenant liability and coordinating the preparation of properties for incoming tenants, in accordance with DHA’s standards of housing.
- Identifying and arranging maintenance services to be undertaken in line with budgets; including raising work orders, monitoring progress, following up and authorising payment upon completion.
- Managing and updating DHA systems efficiently and effectively to ensure properties are returned for tenancy within set timeframes to meet KPI objectives.
- Responding to internal and external customer enquiries and requests in a timely manner, providing proactive advice and solutions,



and escalating complex queries to team leaders.

**Please note, these roles are to be filled as non-ongoing only in a full time/part-time basis for varying contract lengths up to 18 months.

- Under section 22(8) of the Public Service Act 1999, employees must be Australian citizens to be employed in the Australian Public Service (APS).
- The successful candidate will be required obtain and maintain a Baseline Vetting (AGSVA) security clearance.
- Must have and maintain a valid driver's licence.

About the Temporary Employment Register

DHA maintains a Temporary Employment Register to attract talented, enthusiastic and capable individuals for short-term opportunities across a range of business areas and classification levels.

Opportunities may be offered on a full-time or part-time basis, depending on business needs.

Roles filled through the register are temporary, with an initial non-ongoing engagement of up to 12 months, with the potential for extension of up to a further 6 months.

Please note:

- Engagement through this register does not provide a pathway to ongoing employment under the Public Service Act 1999.
- Submission of an application does not guarantee employment.

If a suitable opportunity arises that matches your skills and experience, DHA may contact you to discuss the role.

Applications will remain active until 30 June 2027 and will not be carried over beyond this date.
