Receptionist — Silks

Be the friendly face that keeps Silks moving.

We are looking for a confident, organised and people-focused Receptionist to join our hospitality team at Silks Darwin.

This is more than answering phones and checking bookings. You will be the first person our members, guests, diners and visitors meet, helping create a great experience from the moment they walk through the door.

From restaurant bookings and membership enquiries to helping prepare for trivia, raffles and event nights, no two days will look the same. You will be part of a busy venue team that knows how to work hard, have a laugh and deliver great service.

What you’ll be doing

- Welcoming guests, members and visitors with a friendly, professional approach
- Managing phone calls, emails, bookings and general enquiries
- Supporting restaurant and bistro bookings, including confirmation calls and guest requirements
- Processing memberships, raffle tickets, sweeps and other cash and card transactions accurately
- Keeping across Silks promotions, events and offers so you can help guests make the most of their visit
- Assisting with function and group booking information, office administration and stationery supplies
- Helping prepare signage, prizes and other materials for trivia, raffles and event nights




- Keeping the front-of-house and restaurant areas organised, presentable and ready for service
- Managing lost property and directing enquiries to the right team when needed

What we’re looking for You are someone who enjoys being around people and can stay calm, helpful and organised when things get busy.

You will bring

- Outstanding customer service and communication skills
- Strong computer skills and confidence using email, booking systems and spreadsheets
- A professional, friendly and well-presented approach
- Good attention to detail and the ability to juggle competing priorities
- The ability to work well as part of a team, while also getting things done independently
- Hospitality or customer service experience, ideally in a busy venue environment
- A current RSA
- An RCG is desirable, but not essential
