Provide patient-centred care across coronary interventions, electrophysiology, cardiac devices and vascular procedures in a specialised cardiac catheter lab.

Where you'll be working
Join the Cardiac Catheter Laboratories team at Blacktown Hospital, where you will contribute to the delivery of specialised inpatient and outpatient cardiac services within a collaborative multidisciplinary environment.
- Support a broad range of cardiac catheter laboratory procedures and interventions.
- Work alongside experienced nursing, medical and allied health professionals.
- Deliver inclusive, culturally responsive care to patients and their families.
- Develop and maintain protected practice in radiation and procedural environments.
- Access opportunities for ongoing education, clinical development, research and quality improvement.
What you'll be doing As a Registered Nurse in the Cardiac Catheter Lab, you will provide safe, evidence-based and patient-centred care throughout the procedural journey.
- Provide nursing care for patients undergoing coronary angiograms, PCI, electrophysiology studies, ablations and cardiac device procedures.
- Support vascular procedures,
transoesophageal echocardiograms and CT coronary angiography services.
- Undertake circulating and instrument nursing responsibilities in line with relevant professional standards.
- Monitor patients, administer medications and IV therapies, and maintain high standards of documentation, communication and clinical safety.
- Advocate for patients and carers while collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to achieve positive outcomes.

Essential Criteria
- Registration: Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse Division 1, with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (APHRA)
Selection Criteria
1. Recent (extensive) clinical experience in the specialty of Cardiovascular and/or Operating Theatre (Scrub/Scout) Services and/or cardiac catheter Laboratory experience
2. Demonstrated effective communication skills both written and verbal that build greater cooperation and confidence in care delivery.
3. Ability to work as a member of a multidisciplinary team and effective demonstration of interpersonal skills in initiating and leading junior members of the team.
4.
Commitment to continuing professional development.
5. Demonstrated ability to ensure patients, carers, and families are well informed, engaged and confident about their care and treatment, within the scope of a Registered Nurse.
6. Demonstrate critical thinking abilities, prioritisation and communication skills, whilst effectively following directions.
