About the role
As an Endoscopy Registered Nurse, you will play an integral role in delivering safe, high-quality care across the patient journey and may work across admissions, procedure room and recovery areas according to operational requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Assist proceduralists during endoscopic procedures.
- Prepare procedure rooms, equipment and consumables.
- Maintain sterile technique and infection prevention standards.
- Monitor and support patients throughout their procedural journey.
- Provide safe, patient-centred nursing care in admissions, procedure and recovery areas.
- Deliver transparent patient education and discharge instructions.
- Support efficient patient flow and theatre operations.
- Collaborate effectively with proceduralists, anaesthetists and multidisciplinary team members.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation in accordance with organisational policies and professional standards.
About you
- Current AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1).
- Minimum 2 years post-registration nursing experience.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional organisational and time management abilities.
- Current National Police Check.
- Evidence of required immunisations and vaccination status.
- Highly Desirable: Endoscopy nursing experience.
- Highly Desirable: Procedural room, scrub/scout or perioperative nursing experience.
