General Practice Registered Nurse

Position: General Practice Registered Nurse, Part time/Casual, Monday to Friday (hours negotiable). Immediate Start

Location: South Melbourne

Salary: $35-$40 per hour

: We are seeking a registered nurse to join our dynamic and dedicated team. This role offers a great opportunity for professional growth and development, with on-the-job training provided for those new to general practice settings. You will be part of a busy clinic that delivers a wide range of services including general consultations, minor surgery, immunisations, women's health, chronic disease management, and more.

Key Responsibilities:

- Treatment Room Management: Oversee the upkeep of clinical equipment, manage vaccines, ensure compliance with accreditation standards, and handle stock control and ordering.
- Clinical Duties: Assist with medical procedures, administer immunisations, manage wound care, perform ECGs, spirometry, and iron infusions.
- Chronic Disease Management: Develop and implement Care Plans, Health Assessments,



and Comprehensive Medical Assessments.
- Health Promotion: Conduct preventative screenings and promote overall health awareness.

Essential Skills and Experience:

- Previous experience as a practice nurse (preferable, but not essential)
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficient computer skills
- High levels of organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Immunisation certificate (desirable, or willingness to obtain)
- Experience in health assessments and chronic disease care plans
- Full Australian work rights

Additional Duties:

- Triaging patients
- Maintenance of practice equipment and stock
- Ear Syringing
- Iron infusions
- Assisting GPs in minor procedures
- Covid-19 vaccine administration
