We are currently seeking experienced and compassionate Overnight Inactive Sleepover Support Workers to join our Supported Independent Living (SIL) team across the Sunshine Coast.

This role is ideal for dedicated support professionals who are confident working independently overnight, committed to person-centred practice, and passionate about creating safe, supportive, and welcoming home environments for the people they support.

About the Role

As an Overnight Inactive Sleepover Support Worker, you will provide an overnight support presence within a participant's SIL home. While the majority of the shift is intended for sleep and rest, you will remain onsite and available to respond should a participant require support during the night.

Working within a person's home requires professionalism, empathy, and a strong understanding of the importance of privacy, dignity, and respect. You will play a vital role in ensuring participants feel safe, supported, and comfortable overnight.





Some participants may require support with personal care, complex support needs, or behaviour support strategies, making it essential that you remain calm, confident, and responsive when required.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide safe, respectful, and person-centred support within a SIL environment
- Remain onsite and available throughout the inactive sleepover period
- Respond appropriately to participant needs during the night
- Support personal care and daily living tasks where required
- Follow individual support plans, behaviour support plans, and organisational procedures
- Maintain a safe, calm, and welcoming home environment
- Promote participant independence, choice, and dignity
- Complete accurate shift documentation and reporting
- Communicate effectively with participants, families, and team members
- Work collaboratively with the wider SIL team to ensure continuity of care and support
- Maintain professional boundaries while working within participants' homes

About You

You are an experienced and reliable Support Worker who understands the importance of providing high-quality overnight support and contributing to a positive home environment.

You will bring:

- Experience within the disability, community services,



or NDIS sector
- Previous Supported Independent Living (SIL) experience highly regarded
- Experience supporting people with complex support needs
- The ability to work confidently and independently overnight
- A calm, respectful, and person-centred approach
- Robust communication and problem-solving skills
- Reliability, flexibility, and professionalism
- A passion for supporting people to achieve their goals and live independently
- The ability to follow support plans and behaviour support strategies

Essential Requirements

- Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or equivalent qualification
- Previous disability support experience
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or willingness to obtain)
- Blue Card (or willingness to obtain)
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
- Current Driver Licence and reliable vehicle
- Smartphone for communication and rostering purposes
- Availability to work inactive sleepover shifts, including weekends where required
