St George Private Hospital is a 276-bed facility. The hospital is one of Australia’s most modern private hospitals – with a strong surgical expertise in cardiac, orthopaedics, cancer care, spinal surgery, endoscopy, aged care, general surgery and obstetrics.

We are seeking highly motivated and experienced Registered Nurses to join our Theatre and Recovery team on a casual basis. The successful candidates must be committed to the provision of a high level of customer service and quality health care in a team environment.

As a member of our theatre team, you will perform duties with the support and guidance of the Clinical Manager, Clinical Nurse and Shift Leaders to ensure a high level of quality service is provided to our patients throughout their procedures.

About You You are an experienced perioperative nurse with a solid foundation in theatre and/or recovery nursing and a commitment to patient safety throughout the surgical continuum. You will also demonstrate:

- Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
- Minimum two (2) years' perioperative nursing experience in theatre or recovery.
- Demonstrated ability to assess, plan, coordinate and evaluate patient care needs in a surgical setting.
- Sound knowledge of infection control principles and ACORN standards.
- Solid communication skills, both written and verbal, and a high standard of customer-focused service.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining positive working relationships.
- Postgraduate qualifications in perioperative nursing will be highly regarded.
