About The Role

Formed in 1882, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (RPAH) is a major metropolitan tertiary referral hospital and a principal provider of specialist healthcare. It remains one of the nation’s most respected hospitals, with a distinguished history serving the health needs of local, statewide, national and international communities.

As a Registered Nurse in Virtual Urgent Care, you will provide timely assessment and triage of patients via video and telephone consultations. Working in a fast-paced virtual environment, you will coordinate medical reviews, deliver nurse-led care and discharge planning, provide patient education, and facilitate referrals to appropriate services. This role requires strong clinical assessment skills, excellent communication, and the ability to make sound decisions while managing multiple patient presentations.

Ideal Candidate





- Current nursing registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA).
- Understanding of evidence informed practice and critical thinking.
- Effective interpersonal skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills within a multidisciplinary team.
- Evidence of participation in own career development and commitment to maintaining competence and enhancement of skills, and willingness to apply and share professional expertise with colleagues.
- Experience in Emergency department would be an advantage.
