We’re looking for a Rental Operations Assistant to join our team, supporting the day to day operations of our Rental & Mobility branch.

This is a varied role combining customer service, administration and hands on fleet operations. You’ll play an important part in making sure our vehicles and assets are clean, safe, compliant and ready for our customers.

INCLUDED IN WHAT YOU'LL DO:

- Support the branch with day to day administration, rental agreements and invoicing
- Be a friendly and helpful first point of contact for inbound customer enquiries
- Manage counter, online and phone enquiries and coordinate rental reservations
- Build positive relationships with customers and support a excellent customer experience
- Prepare vehicles and assets to a high standard, ensuring they are clean, safe and ready for hire
- Complete vehicle and asset safety checks, including lights and tyres
- Coordinate vehicle collections, deliveries and servicing requirements
- Monitor and report vehicle defects and maintenance requirements
- Complete minor non-mechanical repairs such as lights, bulbs, wiring and mudflaps
- Helping maintain a clean, organised and professional yard and branch

INCLUDED IN WHAT YOU HAVE:

- Previous experience in customer service, administration, transport, fleet or rental




- Good attention to detail and the ability to follow processes and procedures
- Basic computer skills and confidence learning new systems
- The ability to work independently while also being a great team player
- Strong communication skills and a solutions focused approach
- The ability to safely carry out manual handling and vehicle safety checks
- An interest in vehicles, fleet or rental operations
- Experience with vehicle cleaning and presentation would be advantageous
- The ability to carry out basic, non-mechanical repairs

It would be excellent if you also have

- AForklift Licence, or willingness to obtain one
- An MR or HR Driver Licence, or willingness to obtain one
- Knowledge of commercial vehicles and relevant roadworthy requirements
- Previous experience working with commercial vehicles, transport or rental fleets
