About the role

Genesis Research Services is seeking a dedicated Research Nurse/Clinical Trial Coordinator to join our growing team in Broadmeadow, NSW. This is a part-time position that offers the flexibility to balance skilled commitments with personal responsibilities. In this pivotal role, you will be at the forefront of clinical research, supporting the design, implementation, and successful completion of clinical trials.

You will work closely with research teams, healthcare professionals, and participants to ensure the highest standards of clinical practice and regulatory compliance. This position is essential to advancing medical research and bringing innovative treatments to patients.

Key responsibilities

- Recruiting, screening, and enrolling eligible participants into clinical trial studies whilst maintaining detailed records
- Conducting informed consent discussions with participants, discussing the study objectives, procedures, risks, and benefits
- Performing clinical assessments, vital sign measurements, and collecting biological samples according to approved protocols
- Administering study medications and treatments in accordance with protocol specifications and regulatory guidelines
- Maintaining comprehensive and accurate participant documentation, including case report forms, medical histories, and adverse event reports
- Monitoring participant safety and wellbeing throughout the trial, reporting any adverse events or protocol deviations promptly
- Scheduling appointments and follow-up visits to ensure compliance
- Liaising with investigators, sponsors, and regulatory bodies to ensure protocol adherence and data integrity
- Preparing and maintaining study files, regulatory documentation, and ensuring compliance with Positive Clinical Practice (GCP) standards




- Preparation of study reports and assisting with data analysis as required

What we're looking for

- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) or equivalent qualified registration
- A recognised nursing qualification or relevant clinical healthcare qualification at diploma level or higher
- Minimum 2 years experience in a clinical nursing or healthcare setting
- Previous experience in clinical research, clinical trials, or research coordination is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines and regulatory requirements in clinical research
- Excellent communication skills
- Attention to detail and ability to manage complex documentation and protocols
- Proficiency in electronic data capture systems and clinical trial management software
- Ability to work independently whilst collaborating effectively as part of a multidisciplinary research team
