Restoration Technicians – Brisbane

2 Full-Time Positions | North Brisbane & Ipswich / Western Brisbane

About the opportunity

Cowan Restoration Group is expanding our South East Queensland team and we're looking for two Restoration Technicians to join our Brisbane operations. We are recruiting for two separate positions based around:

- North Brisbane – 1 position
- Ipswich / Western Brisbane – 1 position

You do not need to be based in Brisbane CBD. We are specifically looking for people located in or around these two areas to provide better coverage across South East Queensland. This is a hands-on role working across a wide range of insurance restoration and remediation projects, including water damage, mould, fire and smoke, contents restoration and specialist cleaning.

No two days are exactly the same. You'll attend residential and commercial properties, carry out inspections, set up and monitor drying equipment, complete restoration and remediation works and help customers following unexpected property damage.

We're looking for people who take pride in their work, communicate well with customers and are comfortable working independently as well as part of a team.

We're also interested in people from construction, trades, cleaning, insurance repairs or property services who have the right attitude and want to build a career in the restoration industry.

What you'll be doing

- Attend water damage, mould, fire, smoke and other restoration projects
- Complete moisture inspections, moisture mapping and monitoring
- Set up, monitor and remove qualified drying and restoration equipment
- Record moisture, psychrometric and equipment readings
- Undertake remediation, cleaning and restoration works
- Assist with contents restoration, inventories and pack-outs
- Take photographs and complete accurate job notes and reports using our digital systems
- Communicate professionally with customers, insurers, assessors and other stakeholders
- Maintain your company vehicle,



equipment and stock
- Work safely in accordance with WHS requirements, company procedures and industry standards
- Participate in emergency and after-hours response where required

What we're looking for

- Current Australian driver's licence
- Construction White Card
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Good attention to detail
- Confidence using mobile apps and digital job-management systems
- Ability to work independently and manage your day effectively
- Practical, hands-on approach
- Physical capacity to safely undertake restoration work
- Reliable and professional attitude
- Ability to obtain relevant Police and Working With Children checks where required

Previous experience in restoration, remediation, construction, cleaning, insurance repairs or property services will be highly regarded. IICRC qualifications including WRT, ASD, AMRT or FSRT are a major advantage, as are First Aid, EWP, Working at Heights and Confined Space qualifications.
