Living Waters Lutheran College is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Secondary English Teacher to join our Secondary School team. About the Role
n
Reporting to the Head of English, you will:
n
n
- Teach English across Years 7-12.
n
- Deliver engaging and effective learning programs that support student achievement and growth.
n
- Teach senior secondary English courses, including ATAR, General and Foundation pathways as allocated.
n
- Create inclusive and supportive classroom environments that foster student engagement and success.
n
- Develop engaging learning experiences that build literacy, communication and critical thinking skills.
n
- Use student achievement data to inform teaching and drive improved outcomes.
n
- Participate in curriculum development, moderation and continuous improvement initiatives within the English Learning Area.
n
- Support student wellbeing through positive relationships and restorative practices.
n
- Contribute to the broader life of the College through events, co-curricular activities and professional learning opportunities.

Essential Requirements
n
n
- Bachelor of Education or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
n
- Current Teacher Registration with the Teachers Registration Board of Western Australia.
n
- Current Working with Children Check.
n
- Demonstrated ability to teach English in a secondary school setting.
n
- Commitment to child safeguarding and student wellbeing.
n
n
Desirable
n
n
- A personal Christian faith.
n
- Experience teaching senior secondary English courses.
n
- Knowledge of SCSA assessment, moderation and reporting requirements.
n
- Experience teaching ATAR, General and/or Foundation English.
n
n
