About the role

We are seeking a Retail Sales / Radio Communications Technician to join the team at Central West Communications in Dubbo, NSW. This is a full-time position that combines customer-facing retail sales expertise with technical knowledge of radio communications, UHF, VHF, Wi-Fi equipment and systems. You will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional service to our customers whilst maintaining our reputation for quality products and qualified advice.

This role is based on-site in Dubbo with field works and offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic retail environment where technical knowledge and customer service excellence are equally valued.

What you'll be doing

- Providing expert sales advice to customers on radio communications products, systems and solutions tailored to their specific needs
- Demonstrating product features and capabilities to customers, highlighting technical specifications and advantages
- Processing sales transactions accurately and efficiently whilst maintaining excellent customer service standards
- Building and maintaining strong customer relationships to encourage repeat business and customer loyalty
- Assisting with basic technical support and troubleshooting for radio communications equipment
- Maintaining inventory levels, stock organisation and visual merchandising standards within the retail space
- Keeping up to date with new products, features and industry developments in radio communications technology
- Collaborating with team members to achieve sales targets and contribute to the overall success of the store
- Handling customer enquiries and complaints professionally and courteously

What we're looking for

- Proven retail sales experience, preferably in a technical or communications field
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage customers and build rapport




- Basic understanding of radio communications equipment, systems or related technology (or willingness to develop this knowledge)
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organisational and time management abilities
- A keen interest in technology and communications products
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced retail environment
- Experience with point-of-sale systems and retail software is advantageous but not essential
