Essential Functions of The Job

We are Looking for Risk Consultant for a contract of 2 months role based out of Sydney who has experience in Control Testing and Evidence Monitoring. He must have Risk advisory and Assurance domain experience with working knowledge of Operational Risk and Compliance frameworks, GRC tools, Control Assurance policies & procedures and Internal Audits

Qualifications Basic

Bachelor's degree or equivalent required from an accredited institution.

Skills and Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

- Risk advisory and Assurance domain experience with working knowledge of Operational Risk and Compliance frameworks, GRC tools, Control Assurance policies & procedures and Internal Audits
- Ability to work with complex business organizations and provide operational risk expertise and consulting for projects.
- Conduct stakeholder (spread across business, executive management, compliance and risk functions) workshop to design, develop and implement the component of the Program




- Identify compliance obligations that apply to related entities, the processes that fulfil them and the controls that mitigate them, and document them in the enterprise tool
- Assess the design and operative effectiveness of controls and identify gaps and deficiencies
- Provide the business with the list of suggested rectification actions to enhance the control effectiveness in alignment with the risk appetite
- Identify and enable the Process Owners, Control Owners, and Obligation Owners in each business area
- Prepare executive management reporting related to the Compliance Control Assessment results
- Assist Process Owners to produce the Board Attestation Report using the information entered in reporting tool

Skills:

- Actively participate in Project Planning activities with the Project and Account Leads (e.g. determining the project requirements, identifying and meeting stakeholders, defining the deliverables and project scope, creating the project schedule)
- Ability to independently communicate with clients and obtain information pertaining to in-scope processes and send initial information request to initiate the project on a timely basis




- Ability to document the current state of the process and controls workplace in accordance with the defined standards and create end to end process maps as per the requirement
- Develop granular documentation (SOPs, templates and training materials) to support execution of the operating model
- Execute design assessment, operational effectiveness testing along with creation of process risk & control matrix
- Identify issues and develop recommendations based on identified weaknesses and support the business to develop rectification action plan to bring controls into alignment with risk appetite.
- Develop status update reports highlighting project achievements, delivery roadmap, risk and issues, challenges faced, way forward, etc.
- Conduct regular status update meetings with relevant stakeholders to apprise them on the progress of the project and obtain feedback
- Generate initial leads for potential business development activities and conducting discussions with the key stakeholders along with the Project/ Account lead for further action
