Western Projects is looking for an experienced Safety & Compliance Advisor to join our team and support our construction projects across Perth.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys being out on site, working closely with Site Managers and project teams, and helping create a strong and practical safety culture.

You’ll work across our project portfolio, providing WHS guidance, undertaking site inspections and audits, supporting high-risk activities and ensuring our systems, documentation and site practices meet legislative and company requirements.

About the Role

Reporting to the Directors and working closely with our Site Managers and project teams, your responsibilities will include:

- Conducting regular site safety inspections, audits and compliance reviews
- Supporting Site Managers with WHS requirements and safe work practices
- Monitoring high-risk construction activities and site safety conditions
- Ensuring compliance with current WHS legislation, Western Projects' HSEQ procedures and project-specific requirements
- Reviewing safety documentation, risk assessments and contractor compliance
- Managing safety reporting, incident recording, investigations and close-out
- Maintaining relevant safety documentation within Procore
- Providing practical WHS advice, coaching and support to our project teams
- Assisting with subcontractor prequalification and WHS assessments
- Participating in toolbox meetings, site briefings and company HSEQ meetings
- Helping drive a positive and proactive safety culture across the business

About You





We’re looking for someone who is confident working with people at all levels and understands that good safety management is about more than paperwork. Ideally, you will have:
- Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety/OHS, or significant relevant industry experience
- Previous WHS experience within the commercial construction industry
- Strong knowledge of current WHS legislation and construction safety requirements
- Experience undertaking site inspections and internal safety audits
- Experience with incident reporting, investigations and corrective actions
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- The confidence to work directly with Site Managers, subcontractors and project teams
- A practical, cooperative approach to improving safety
- Good organisational and reporting skills
- Experience with Procore or similar construction management systems would be advantageous
