As the Sales Reporting & Insights Analyst you will support GTM activities across the Sales to Billing journey for all Data Analytics and Insights and support the future data strategy for Commercial as a Spoke representative. You will be responsible for building and maintaining data, definitions, dashboards and insights that give visibility into churn risk, funnel health, customer trends and the impact of retention and growth plays.
Reporting to the Senior Manager – Data Analytics and Insights, this individual-contributor role will bridge the gap between data and action, empowering sales and GTM teams with timely, meaningful intelligence that drives revenue performance and customer outcomes.
What you’ll be doing day-to-day
- Design, build and maintain dashboards (e.g. Power BI dashboards) and reporting tools e.g. account management dashboards, on-net order performance by stage gate. This includes working with underlying datasets and queries, leveraging high‑level SQL capability to ensure accurate, timely and scalable reporting inputs and strong knowledge in PowerBI
- Produce regular reporting on sales funnel, conversion, activity levels and retention metrics for segments and leadership forums. Reporting may be supported by automation and data transformation using high‑level Python or scripting to improve efficiency and repeatability
- Extract, clean, and analyse large datasets from multiple sources to ensure data accuracy and identify meaningful trends, patterns, and insights. This activity relies on high‑level SQL and Python knowledge to efficiently extract, prepare and analyse data from systems
- Ensuring data reported is the source of truth and external definitions are aligned with Stakeholders across the business. Strong database and information systems principles coupled with technical skills in SQL and Power Query will be used to reconcile data, introduce automation and reduce errors. The use of AI will be considered favourably
- Analyse customer behaviour,
contract expiry profiles, pricing shifts, on-net/off-net migration to identify churn risk and growth opportunity. Advanced analysis may be supported by querying and joining large datasets in all forms, across evolving stacks.
- Monitor performance of retention offers and customer campaigns, measuring adoption, success rates and ROI
- Work closely with key stakeholders to align metrics, methodologies and reporting standards. This includes communicating analytical outputs derived from technical tools in a clear and accessible way for non‑technical stakeholders.
What you’ll bring to this role
- 5+ years in commercial analytics, sales operations or customer insights roles – Manipulating, translating and presenting data into actionable insights
- Proven experience in building dashboards and data models that support sales decision making
- Exposure to multiple systems, data structures and formats for ingestion.
- Experience working with and querying large datasets using any form of SQL + Power Query/BI. (Databricks, MSAS, TSQL)
- Experience with documentation and ticketing - Jira/Confluence.
- Exposure to telecommunications or ICT or subscription based B2B environments highly desirable
- Experience managing multiple data sources (CRM, billing, finance, network)
- Demonstrated ability to work across the business units and deliver under tight timeframes.
