Our client, a well-known Australian tech company, is looking for a Senior Android Developer to join their mobile engineering team on a 6 month contract.

You'll work within a product-focused engineering team building and improving native Android experiences used by millions of Australians. This is a hands‐on role for someone who wants to contribute from day one.

What you'll do

n

- Design, build, and maintain features in a large-scale native Android app
n
- Write clean, well‐tested Kotlin code
n
- Collaborate closely with product, design, and backend engineers
n
- Contribute to code reviews and help maintain engineering best practices
n
- Work within an agile team, participating in sprint planning and stand‐ups
n

Tech stack

- Kotlin, Jetpack Compose (or XML/View-based UI)
n
- MVVM / MVI architecture, Android Jetpack libraries (Navigation, Room, WorkManager,



Lifecycle)

- Coroutines and Flow for async/concurrency
n
- Dagger/Hilt for dependency injection
n
- Retrofit/OkHttp for networking
n
- JUnit, Espresso, and Mockito for testing
n
- Git, CI/CD via GitHub Actions, Bitrise, or similar
n
- Firebase (Crashlytics, Analytics, Remote Config)

What you'll bring

- Robust commercial experience building native Android apps (Kotlin essential)
n
- Solid understanding of Android architecture components (MVVM, Jetpack, Coroutines)
n
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing
n
- Comfortable working in an agile, fast‐paced product environment
n
- Right to work in Australia
