The Position

As Senior Tax Accountant, you will take ownership of a broad range of direct and indirect taxation responsibilities across the Australian business.
This position will see you manage tax compliance and reporting, provide technical guidance across the organisation and support ongoing improvements to systems, controls and processes.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and oversee direct and indirect tax reporting and compliance activities.
- Prepare and manage income tax returns, tax consolidation requirements and supporting schedules.
- Oversee FBT, GST/BAS, IAS and Fuel Tax Credit reporting and lodgements.
- Coordinate tax effect accounting and quarterly group reporting.




- Maintain and improve internal controls in line with compliance and audit requirements.
- Provide technical tax guidance and training across the business.
- Monitor legislative developments and ensure compliance with Australian tax law.
- Support tax audits, reviews and ad hoc projects.
- Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes and service delivery.

Candidate Profile

To be successful in this position, you will bring:

- 5+ years of recent taxation accounting experience.
- Strong technical knowledge across Australian Income Tax, GST and FBT.
- A tertiary qualification in Accounting or a related discipline.
- CA/ CPA/ CTA qualifications
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage strict deadlines.
