Infosys Consulting is seeking an experienced Security Engineer / Delivery Lead to join our Cyber Security practice in Sydney. This role is ideal for a security professional with strong consulting experience and a proven track record delivering complex cybersecurity initiatives within the Telecommunications industry.

The successful candidate will act as a trusted advisor to clients, leading security delivery engagements, managing stakeholders, and ensuring successful implementation of security solutions aligned with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Security Delivery Leadership

- Lead end-to-end delivery of cybersecurity programs and initiatives for telecommunications clients.
- Manage project scope, timelines, risks, dependencies, and delivery outcomes.
- Coordinate with client and cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution of security projects.
- Oversee security solution design, implementation, testing, and transition to operations.

Cyber Security Engineering

- Design and implement enterprise security solutions across network, cloud, infrastructure, and applications.
- Provide technical leadership in areas such as:
- Identity & Access Management (IAM)
- Security Operations (SOC)
- SIEM and Threat Monitoring
- Network Security
- Cloud Security (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Vulnerability Management
- Zero Trust Architecture
- Support security assessments, architecture reviews, and risk mitigation activities.

Client Consulting & Advisory

- Act as a trusted cybersecurity advisor to client stakeholders.
- Translate business requirements into practical security solutions.
- Conduct workshops, assessments, and executive-level presentations.
- Develop cybersecurity strategies, roadmaps,



and security transformation initiatives.
- Provide recommendations aligned with industry-leading security frameworks and best practices.

Stakeholder Management

- Establish strong relationships with client executives, technology leaders, and business stakeholders.
- Manage communications across technical and non-technical audiences.
- Facilitate governance forums, steering committees, and project status reviews.
- Drive consensus among multiple stakeholder groups in complex delivery environments.

Telecommunications Industry Focus

- Provide cybersecurity expertise within Telco environments including:
- Core Network Security
- 5G Security
- Telecom Infrastructure Security
- Operational Technology (OT) Security
- Customer Data Protection
- Regulatory Compliance
- Support security initiatives across network transformation and digital modernization programs.

Required Skills & Experience

Technical Skills

- Strong experience in cybersecurity engineering and solution delivery.
- Deep knowledge of enterprise security technologies and frameworks.
- Experience with cloud security controls across AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Understanding of network security architecture and telecommunications environments.
- Knowledge of security monitoring, incident response, and vulnerability management.

Consulting & Leadership Skills





- Proven experience working within consulting or professional services organizations.
- Excellent stakeholder management and client engagement capabilities.
- Ability to lead workshops, influence decision-making, and communicate effectively with senior executives.
- Strong program and project delivery experience.

Industry Experience

- 7+ years of cybersecurity experience.
- Demonstrated experience delivering security initiatives within Telecommunications or Communications Service Providers (CSPs).
- Experience working in complex enterprise transformation programs.
- Exposure to large-scale network and digital transformation initiatives preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

- CISSP, CISM, CCSP, CISA, CRISC or equivalent certifications.
- Security architecture or cloud security certifications.
- Experience with NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls, Essential Eight, and Zero Trust frameworks.
- Experience working with major Telco organizations in Australia or global markets.
