Casual Security Guards & RSA Marshals – Newcastle & Hunter Valley

Magnus Protection Group is expanding and seeking reliable, professional casual staff for work across Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Maitland and the wider Hunter Valley.

We have shifts available at:

- Hotels, pubs and licensed venues
- Weddings and private functions
- Festivals and community events
- Corporate events
- Entertainment venues
- Other short-term and ongoing assignments

Available Positions

Licensed Security Guards

Duties may include crowd control, entry management, monitoring patron behaviour, venue patrols, incident response, de-escalation and assisting venue management to maintain a safe setting.

Applicants must hold

- Current NSW Class 1 Security Licence
- Current NSW RSA competency
- Current First Aid certificate
- Full Australian working rights

RSA Marshals Duties may include monitoring responsible service practices, identifying intoxication concerns, observing patron behaviour, supporting venue staff and documenting relevant incidents.

Applicants must hold

- Current NSW RSA competency
- Full Australian working rights
- A security licence is highly regarded but not essential for RSA-only positions

- Be available for evening,



weekend and public-holiday work
- Have reliable transport to reach venues throughout the region
- Be capable of completing clear incident and shift reports
- Work effectively as part of a team
- Understand that good security is built on awareness, communication and prevention

Previous experience in pubs, licensed venues, weddings or event security is highly regarded. However, applicants with the right attitude and current qualifications are encouraged to apply.
