About the role

MSS Security is seeking a dedicated Full Time Security Officers to join our team at our prestigious university site in the Gold Coast. In this roving position, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of the campus, by conducting foot patrols, securing buildings, and providing support to students, staff, and visitors.

Two full-time opportunities available: a set-roster Night Shift Guard position and a Reliever role requiring 24/7 availability with no set roster.

Duties include but are not limited to:

- Conducting foot patrols, ensuring people are safe and buildings are secure.
- Escort individuals to and from various locations around the site as required.
- Ensuring property is locked and unlocked as required.
- Provide clear directions and assistance to students, staff, and visitors to ensure they can navigate the campus efficiently.
- Write reports in response to incidents or unusual activity, ensuring all information is documented.
- Communicate calmly, clearly,



and effectively with staff, students, and visitors.

Requirements:

- Full Australian working rights.
- Certificate II in Security Operations (or higher).
- Valid QLD Security licence (crowd control component preferred)

- Valid Drivers licence
- First Aid and CPR certificates (or willing to obtain).
- 24/7 Availability required, for the Reliever position

or N/S availability for following roster

- Week 1: Monday–Wednesday, 4:00pm–12:00am; Thursday–Friday, 8:00pm–8:00am.
- Week 2: Monday–Thursday, 12:00am–8:00am.
- Week 3: Monday–Tuesday, 4:00pm–12:00am; Friday–Saturday, 8:00am–8:00pm
