We are seeking a professional and detail-oriented Security Officer to join our team at John Flynn Private Hospital. In this casual role, you will be responsible for protecting our facility, assets, and personnel by monitoring security systems, conducting regular patrols, and responding promptly to any security incidents. You will play a critical role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for all occupants while ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and protocols.

Your Duties Will Include But Are Not Limited To

- Conduct regular patrols of the facility, including interior and exterior areas, to identify potential security risks or safety hazards
- Maintain detailed logs and incident reports documenting all security activities, observations, and emergency responses
- Perform access control duties, including verifying identification, managing entry points,



and maintaining visitor records
- Respond to emergency situations with professionalism and composure, coordinating with emergency services when necessary
- Conduct routine inspections and testing of fire safety equipment, security cameras, and alarm systems
- Enforce security protocols and safety procedures, educating occupants on compliance requirements
- Investigate security breaches or suspicious activities and report findings to management

About You The ideal candidate will have proven experience in security operations or a related field and have the following:

- Must Have Current QLD Security License
- Experience working within a healthcare environment is highly desirable
- CCTV experience is not required but highly desirable
- Must be available to work a 7-day rotating roster, including AMs, PMs and weekends
- First aid Certificate (essential)
- Physical fitness and capability to respond to emergency situations
- Knowledge of security systems, CCTV operations, and alarm monitoring
- Familiarity with access control systems and security protocols
- Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure
