LS Quarry is a family owned group operating for over 20 years in North East Victoria. We are rapidly growing business with approximately 100 staff. Along with our quarry and sand extraction operations, we also provide offsite crushing and screening services both local and interstate, as well as concrete batching and pre-casting facilities.

About the Role An exciting chance exists for a qualified Senior Accountant looking to work in the North East of Victoria. Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role encompasses both Management and Financial accounting responsibilities within an established small team. Previous experience with a minimum of 3 years in a manufacturing/mining or extractive industry is highly desirable, although the right fit may have some transferable experience.

Responsibilities and duties will include:

• Provide support and guidance to the accounts team.

- Plan, organise, direct and control tasks related to the finance and administration function
- Learn AP processes as part of general cross training
- Prepare and review payroll, and associated statutory requirements (FBT, Super etc)




- Familiarise and develop understanding of Pronto back-end (Master settings, Masterfile maintenance, Special Accounts, Budget uploads etc.)
- Assist in the development of improved management reporting, with a particular focus on Actual to Budget performance measurement for various areas of the business
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets
- Develop and track varying KPIs across the Group, not only to provide feedback but drive change and improvements
- Lead EOM preparation including: completeness of Sales Invoicing, balance and close off AR, Review P&L; & Balance Sheet and Fixed Assets, including depreciation and amortisation
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets

Please consider this position if you are/have:

• Relevant degree with Accounting major

- CPA / CA or working towards
- Experience improving financial performance
- High proficiency in Excel
- Exposure to Pronto accounting systems (desirable)
- Confidence to lead a team and ask the hard questions
- Excellent communication skills
- Experienced in Job Costing including computation of items such as hourly rates, cost per UOM (e.g. cost per tonne) and recovery
