The Opportunity

Be the driving force behind a high-performing operational team.

As the Senior Business Support Officer, you will provide high-level executive support to the Manager City Amenity and Manager Parks and Gardens, while leading and coordinating the Department's Business Support function.

Acting as a trusted partner to senior leaders, you'll be responsible for managing priorities, coordinating key business processes, preparing high-quality documentation, and ensuring responsive service delivery across the department.

This is a varied and influential role where you'll contribute to operational excellence, continuous improvement and effective decision-making across a dynamic service area.

Key Responsibilities

- Providing confidential executive support, including diary and meeting management, agenda preparation, minute taking and action tracking.
- Leading and coordinating the Department's Business Support function, ensuring quality, consistency and customer-focused service delivery.
- Managing and prioritising enquiries, requests and emerging issues, ensuring timely resolution and escalation where required.
- Preparing reports, briefings, correspondence, presentations and business documentation for a range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Coordinating administration processes, including purchase orders, invoices, work orders and payroll-related enquiries.
- Monitoring workflows, maintaining accurate records and supporting operational reporting requirements.




- Maintaining departmental systems, intranet content and shared information resources.
- Supporting recruitment administration, training coordination and business improvement initiatives.
- Identifying opportunities to streamline processes and improve service outcomes.

About You You are a proactive, professional and solutions-focused individual who can confidently manage competing priorities while building strong relationships across the organisation.

You Will Bring

- Demonstrated experience in a senior business support, executive assistant or administration role.
- Proven ability to provide high-level support to senior leaders in a complex and fast-paced environment.
- Strong organisational and coordination skills, with the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing professional reports, correspondence and presentations.
- High levels of discretion, professionalism and confidentiality.
- Experience coordinating business processes and driving continuous improvement.
- A strong customer service focus and collaborative working style.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills and experience using corporate systems and records management platforms.
