Your new role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and suitably experienced person for the role of Senior Category Specialist. As part of the Health Support Services (HSS) Procurement and Supply Business Unit, the Senior Category Specialist is responsible for leading and managing end-to-end procurement, strategic sourcing and contract management activities across assigned categories, including ICT and health technologies, clinical products, and other health-related goods and services.

This position sits within the Major Programs portfolio and will be responsible for managing a high-risk, high-value ICT solution procurement working collaboratively with a broad range of stakeholders to deliver fit for purpose and sustainable outcomes.

The Senior Category

Specialist will lead the end-to-end procurement process from strategy development and planning, governance and approvals, contract development,



sourcing execution through to negotiations and contract award. The position will be supported by a range of stakeholders from within HSS and wider WA Health as well as the Department of Housing and Works for sourcing execution.

This is a Fixed Term Full Time appointment up until 30 June 2027, with the possibility of extension(s).
