Brief Description POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES

- Maximise recovery outcomes by proactively managing an allocated caseload of recovery claims.
- Initiate proactive outbound calls/contact to customers and third parties to investigate and progress recovery claims including negotiating favourable settlements.
- Identify and assess first-line risks, including vulnerabilities and potential financial hardship, within recovery claims.
- Provide exceptional service to customers and third parties, effectively managing inbound queries related to recovery claims.
- Accurately identify and determine the most appropriate resolution path for each recovery claim.

- Customer service experience
- Debt recovery experience
- Well grounded negotiation skills
- Strong understanding of liability and Australian road rules.
- Motor claims insurance experience
- Good understanding of the legislative, regulatory and compliance obligations.
- Good understanding of the litigation process including quantum and state requirements.

Summary PURPOSE OF THE ROLE The core purpose of this role is to drive the effective management of disputed recovery claims and associated files within the Motor Third Party Recoveries Department. This involves proactively overseeing a portfolio of complex claims, diligently ensuring strict adherence to all regulatory requirements. By consistently achieving cost-effective and high-quality claims handling, this position directly contributes to the financial health and operational efficiency of Auto & General. This critical function is accomplished through the cultivation of robust relationships with both internal teams and external service providers, thereby ensuring optimal outcomes for the organisation.
